@concreteseagull @nikitabier @ulricmusset americans have had free text messaging for decades and so it was never an issue, never caught on. the rational reason is that hardly anyone else uses it, so why bother, i notice a lot of people use fb messenger though

@chrismurraylaw In this case, apparently Facebook Messenger search doesn't work because of new end-to-end encryption. Except it does work. Absolutely fine it works. So I've absolutely no idea what the hell they've done to it.

FB Messenger is only FB Messenger on iPhone… Limited options for default apps. Hopefully RCS will fix some of those issues.
