To install this bot follow these simple steps.

1. Download and un-zip (or clone) the repo.

2. Install node.js you can get it here.

3. On Windows, open the command line. On Linux and MacOS, open a terminal.

4. Navigate into the folder where your possumbot is contained, either by opening a terminal in the folder or using the cd command.

5. Type npm install into the console.

If it doesn't work make sure you have node.js installed. (You can install it here.) If it still doesn't work restart your console.

6. Open your browser and go to discord.com/developers And create a new application and customize it to your liking.

You should see something like this:

Navigate to the bot settings

Enable privileged gateway intents.

After enabling privileged gateway intents copy your token.

After you copied the token proceed to the next step.

7. Open the possumbot folder and navigate to botsettings.json and open it with a text editor.

It should look like this

8. Paste your token into the token field, and save the file. Don't remove the quotes.

9. Run start.bat (or start.sh if you're on linux), if the bot doesn't run, type node bot.js into the console.

10. A link will be generated in the console use it to invite the bot. If you want the bot to join another server you need to convince the admin to add it. If the bot doesn't have admin perms it won't work.
